History mandate
A professional association shaped by service to justice
TMJA’s history begins with a practical need: a common platform where judicial officers could strengthen unity, protect the dignity of judicial office, and support one another in the work of administering justice.
Over time, that purpose has grown into a national professional voice for members of the bench, connecting judicial independence, education, research, ethical conduct, welfare, and cooperation with justice-sector institutions.
- Promote the independence of the Judiciary.
- Protect the rights, interests, welfare, dignity, and traditions of judicial office.
- Enhance professional knowledge through education and research.
- Facilitate conferences, publications, meetings, and member engagement.
