Membership and Association

About TMJA and its members

TMJA is a national professional association for Judges and Magistrates of the Judiciary of Tanzania. It supports unity, dignity, professional standards, member welfare, and public confidence in justice.

Membership is intended for judicial officers within the Judiciary of Tanzania, including Magistrates and Judges, subject to the Association’s membership procedures and governance rules.

TMJA supports professional development, ethical practice, member welfare, unity among judicial officers, constructive engagement with justice-sector partners, and public confidence in the rule of law.

Branches help connect members across regions or stations, support Association communication, and channel member matters to the Secretariat and national leadership.

Leadership details are published on the leadership and governance pages, including executive office bearers and committee structures where available.

Members should use the appropriate branch channel or contact the Secretariat so the matter can be directed to the relevant leadership or committee.
