Elimo Daniel Massawe is currently Deputy Registrar of the High Court Simiyu Sub Registry. He served as Magistrate for almost 25 years now. He first joins the Judiciary as Primary Court Magistrate in earlier 2002, on 2009 he was elevated to Resident Magistrate. From April 2018 to November 2019, he was stationed at Judiciary Delivery Unit as project facilitator on Citizen Centric Justice Delivery project financed by the World Bank. 

He saved as a Resident Magistrate In-charge of Lindi from November 2019 to December 2020 and Singida Region from January 2021 to November 2021 then appointed as Deputy Registrar.

He is the Holder of LLM in IT & Telecommunications Law from the Open University of Tanzania, LL. B from University of Dar es Salaam, Diploma in Law from Institute of Development Management – Mzumbe (IDM). Elimo has attended about 45 different trainings organised by the Judiciary of Tanzania and other local and international Institutions both physical and online.

He is a trained trainer facilitated more than 40 trainings to judicial officer, police, NPS, prison and other stakeholders both physical and online.

In 2020, he was awarded Certificate of Recognition by Hon. Prof. Ibrahim Hamis Juma, The Chief Justice of Tanzania for Pioneering Judicial Training.

Currently, he is President of the Magistrate and Judges Association of Tanzania (TMJA) from 15th April 2025.
